Casino or sports welcome bonus? How the packages split

As of 7 October 2026, for several operators in our catalogue the welcome offer is not one offer. It is two. One is for the casino, one is for sports betting, and the operator lists them as separate rows with separate descriptions.
That sounds like housekeeping. It is not. A banner that says "welcome bonus" and shows one headline figure can leave open the first question, which is which half the offer covers. A free bet is no use to someone who wants slots. A spins package is no use to someone who bets on football.
What a welcome bonus is
Short version. It is usually offered once, to a new account, and it is usually tied to the first deposit. Typically the operator matches part of the deposit with bonus money. On the casino side that may come with free spins. On the sports side it may come as a bonus stake or a free bet on a first wager.
What it is worth depends on terms that we mostly cannot read. The wagering requirement, the time you get, the games or odds that count. Our piece on what we can tell you about wagering requirements explains why the multiple matters more than the headline. Several of the rows below phrase the headline as "up to", which makes it a ceiling and not an award.
Who splits it
Going by the rows we collected on 7 October 2026:
1xBet lists two welcome rows. One is titled "Welcome · Bonus for sports". The other is "Welcome · Casino + 1xGames". Both are carried in all three markets.
Melbet lists the same pair, and so does BetWinner, which carries it in Azerbaijan only. Melbet carries it in Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan.
Pin-Up goes further. The casino row pairs a deposit match with spins on the first deposit. The sports row pairs a deposit match with a free bet on the first bet. A further row is built around esports betting. Each sits in all three markets.
Mostbet does it differently. We hold no first-deposit welcome row for it. What we hold is a ladder that starts at the second deposit, every rung titled either "Casino" or "Sport", and rungs on both sides carry spins. That is closer to what our reload bonus post describes than to a welcome offer, and the split is the same.
Marathonbet has rows for Uzbekistan that say "new customers" in the description. The titles lead with figures and spins, and nothing in them says whether the offer is for the casino or for sports. One of them mentions bonuses across the first several deposits. We will not guess which side it is. Our latest Marathonbet rows date from 3 October 2026; the operator's rows were not refreshed on 7 October 2026.
Melstroy is casino only: a package broken into deposit steps, each with its own slot for the spins. Its rows carry no market tag. We have not re-read the operator's page, and one of its rows carried an end date that had passed when we collected it. As of 7 October 2026 it is also the only operator among these whose welcome rows state a wagering requirement. We do not print it here, and the free spins post shows why the spins and the money are not governed by the same number.
Parimatch has no welcome row in what we hold, going by rows last collected on 3 October 2026. Its rows are cashback, rakeback and promotions.
By market, going by the rows we collected on 7 October 2026 (Marathonbet and Parimatch: 3 October 2026), for the operators named above that state one:
- Azerbaijan: 1xBet, Melbet, BetWinner, Pin-Up, Mostbet. See /az.
- Kazakhstan: 1xBet, Melbet, Pin-Up, Mostbet, Parimatch. See /kz.
- Uzbekistan: 1xBet, Pin-Up, Mostbet, Marathonbet. See /uz.
One more thing about those rows. The same welcome offer carried in three markets is stored as three rows. Our pages collapse them, which is why a category page shows fewer listings than the data holds rows.
Where the free bet went
Pin-Up's sports welcome is an example of a free bet that arrives as part of a package. We file it under welcome bonuses, so it does not appear on our free bet page. As of 7 October 2026 that page is thin, for a reason we have already explained: most of what carries the free bet tag in the data looks like a loyalty shop item read under several brand names, and almost none of it reaches the page. On that date the page also held a Pin-Up quiz promotion with a free bet attached; the operator's description explained how it was earned. The longer account is in the same promotion under three brand names.
Sportsbook features such as cash out, bet editing or enhanced odds are a different thing again. They are not welcome offers, and as of 7 October 2026 they are filed under promotions.
A currency catch
On the 1xBet, Melbet and BetWinner welcome rows, the package ceiling is printed in Armenian dram. That is not a currency any of the three markets uses. Our collector records what the page showed, so that is what our row says. Whether the operator shows something different on its own page, we have not checked.
How to read the two halves
- Work out which half an offer covers: casino, sports, or both. The headline figure does not always say.
- On the operator's own page, find out what the bonus is credited as: cash, bonus balance, or a free bet, and with a free bet, whether the stake itself comes back with a win.
- On the casino side, look for the wagering multiple, the time limit and which games count. On the sports side, look for the minimum odds and the number of selections that qualify.
- Check whether the two halves can be combined. Our rows cannot tell you.
- Check the printed currency against the one you would deposit in.
Terms vary by operator and change without notice, so T&Cs apply to every offer named here. This page is information, not advice, and nothing on it suggests you will win. You must be 18 or over to gamble, 21 or over in Kazakhstan. If gambling stops being fun, stop, and see our responsible gambling page.

What is a casino welcome bonus?+
A welcome bonus is an offer made once, to a new account, usually tied to the first deposit. It typically pays out as bonus money, sometimes with free spins, and it normally carries its own wagering requirement, time limit and list of games that count. Those conditions are set in the operator's own terms, not on our page.
Is a sports welcome bonus the same as a casino welcome bonus?+
Not necessarily. Several operators in our catalogue list the two as separate offers, one for the casino and one for sports betting, each with its own description. Which one you can take, and whether you can take both, is a question for the operator's terms. We do not hold that answer.
Which operators in your catalogue split their welcome offer?+
As of 7 October 2026, 1xBet, Melbet and BetWinner each list a sports welcome row and a casino welcome row, and Pin-Up lists a casino row and a sports row. Mostbet labels its deposit ladder rows Casino or Sport. Open the operator's own page before you rely on any of it.
