How a deposit match bonus works, and which numbers our rows give you

As of 14 October 2026, most of the casino welcome headlines we collected for the operators named below give you one number. You need two.

A deposit match is a rate and a ceiling. The rate says how much bonus the operator credits for what you put in. The ceiling says where it stops. Hold only one of them and you are guessing the other.

As of that date, our rows mostly print one.

What a deposit match is

Short version. Typically the operator credits bonus money equal to a share of your deposit. A match of one for one credits as much as you put in. A match of half credits half. The ceiling, usually worded "up to", is the most the bonus can reach however much you deposit. An offer may also set a minimum deposit, below which a bonus is typically not credited. The operator's terms say what it is.

Here is the shape, with invented numbers that belong to no operator and are not an offer. Take a match of one for one with a ceiling of two hundred. A deposit of a hundred would earn a bonus of a hundred. A deposit of two hundred would earn two hundred. A deposit of five hundred would still earn two hundred, because the ceiling cuts the match off three hundred short. On a plain ceiling like this, once the match reaches it a bigger deposit adds no more bonus.

So a ceiling on its own tells you the most you could get. A rate on its own tells you how it grows, with no end in sight. Neither tells you what the deposit you were thinking of would earn.

Casino packages often add a third number, a count of free spins. That one usually has its own conditions: which slot, what each spin is worth, what happens to the winnings. A spin count in a headline says how many. It says nothing else.

What our rows print

Going by the casino welcome rows we collected on 14 October 2026 for the operators named here, one by one. Other operators in the catalogue, including Marathonbet and Parimatch (last collected on 3 October 2026), are not covered.

1xBet, Melbet and BetWinner each have a casino package row worded as a welcome package, "up to" a ceiling, plus a spin count. There is no rate in it. Not in the title, not in the description, not in the text our collector captured. From the row, you learn the most you could get and nothing about the road to it.

Pin-Up has the same shape. The casino welcome title opens with "Up to", then a ceiling and a spin count, for the first deposit. No rate.

Mostbet is the other way round. Every rung carries a rate and a spin count, and none carries a ceiling or a minimum deposit. We hold no first-deposit row. The rows we collected start at the second deposit and run to the fifth, which our reload bonus post describes. Rungs two to four each appear as three rows at the same rate with a different spin count. The rows we collected do not say what decides which of the three applies; the operator's own page may, and we have not checked. The titles are in Russian and write free spins as FS.

Melstroy is the one operator here whose rows put both numbers in the same row. Each deposit step has its rate and spin count in the title, and the description adds a minimum deposit, a maximum bonus and the slot the spins are for. We print none of it. In our rows the amounts are in roubles and dollars. As of 14 October 2026, its rows carry no market tag, we have not re-read the operator's page, and one of its rows carried an end date that had passed when we collected it, so we cannot tell whether that offer still runs.

Which brings up the currency. As of 14 October 2026, the ceilings on the 1xBet, Melbet and BetWinner rows are printed in Armenian dram, and Pin-Up's in euros. None of those is the local currency of any country this site covers. Our collector records what the page showed it, so that is what our rows say, and whether an operator shows something different on its own page, we have not checked. It is also why we print no minimum deposit figure here, even for the rows that carry one in a data field. The fields we leave empty tells that story.

Put together: a headline that says "up to" gives you the ceiling and leaves out the rate. A headline that gives the rate leaves out the ceiling. One operator in this set prints both, in roubles and dollars, which we do not reproduce here. That is a description of what our collected rows hold, not a verdict on any offer, and the operator's own page may print more. For most of these rows, the conditions that decide whether a match is worth taking are not in the text we collected, and this post does not rank them. Melstroy's descriptions do state a wagering figure; we do not print it here, and T&Cs apply.

What to find on the operator's own page

  1. The rate and the ceiling, both, in the operator's own words.
  2. The minimum deposit, and the currency it is quoted in. Compare it with the currency you would deposit in.
  3. What the rate applies to: the whole deposit, or only a part of it.
  4. What the bonus is credited as, and what you must stake before it can be withdrawn, and against which base. The fields piece explains why the base is the part to read slowly, and our wagering piece why the multiple matters more than the headline.
  5. Whether the spins and the money carry separate conditions.

Some packages are split into a casino half and a sports half. The welcome bonus split covers that, and this post is about the casino side only. Several of the rows described here are listed under welcome bonuses.

A match is not a reason to deposit more

A match rewards a deposit. It does nothing to make what you do with the money safer or more likely to pay. If a bigger ceiling changes how much you were planning to deposit, that is the moment to stop and ask why. Decide the amount first, then read the offer.

Terms vary by operator and change without notice, so T&Cs apply to every offer named here. This page is information, not advice, and nothing on it suggests you will win. You must be 18 or over to gamble, 21 or over in Kazakhstan. If gambling stops being fun, stop, and see our responsible gambling page.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a deposit match bonus?+

It is an offer where the operator credits bonus money based on a share of your deposit. Two numbers shape it, a rate (how much bonus per unit deposited) and a ceiling (the most the bonus can reach, usually worded "up to"). An offer may also set a minimum deposit and attach wagering, a time limit and a list of games that count. Those conditions are in the operator's own terms, not on our page. T&Cs apply.

What does "up to" mean in a bonus headline?+

It marks a ceiling, the most the bonus can reach, not the amount you will be credited. What a given deposit earns depends on the match rate, which a headline does not always print. Read both numbers on the operator's own page before relying on either. T&Cs apply.

Do the casino welcome headlines for the operators you name show the match rate?+

It depends on the operator. As of 14 October 2026, Mostbet and Melstroy print a rate in the title of their casino rows. 1xBet, Melbet, BetWinner and Pin-Up print a ceiling and a spin count and no rate. Of those, Melstroy is the only one whose descriptions also state a minimum deposit and a maximum bonus. We do not print any figure here, and T&Cs apply.

Does a bigger match mean a better offer?+

Not on its own, and our catalogue cannot settle it, because for most of these headlines the conditions behind them are not in the text we collected. A larger match can sit behind stricter conditions, and a smaller one behind looser ones. This page does not rank offers. T&Cs apply to every offer.
