Types of casino bonuses, and how our rows get their label

As of 18 October 2026, 571 of the 741 rows in our feed are typed free bet. Read on 18 October 2026, our free bet page lists 6 offers.

Both numbers are correct. The distance between them says more about bonus types than either number does.

A type is a verdict, not a property

The type on a listing looks like a fact about the offer. On our rows it is a verdict handed down by a parser, mostly from the words in the title and description, using a separate set of rules for each operator's page. The rules are short. Short rules are blunt.

Pin-Up's rules run in a fixed order. If the text says welcome or deposit, the row is a deposit bonus and nothing else is tested. Then free spins. Then cashback or insurance. Then free bet. Whatever is left is a promotion. The order does the damage. A first-deposit row that also names spins is a deposit bonus, because the deposit test comes first and the spins never get a vote. A row called Gift Box, whose description names free spins among the rewards, is typed free spins, because the words are there and no deposit is mentioned. Whether that is a free spins offer is something the label cannot tell you.

Mostbet's rule is blunter. A percent sign in the reward and it is a deposit bonus; failing that, a spin abbreviation makes it free spins. As of 18 October 2026 all 60 Mostbet rows are typed deposit bonus, and all 60 titles also name a spin count. Not one is typed free spins.

For 1xBet, Melbet and BetWinner, a welcome row is a deposit bonus whatever it says. On their other items, the word spins makes a row free spins. The words accumulator, single or bet make it a free bet, and so does a place in the operator's Games section. The rules above are as we last read them, on 18 October 2026.

Where 571 comes from

Of those 571 free bet rows, 452 have a title that starts with Games, followed by the name of a game. Nearly every description is the same stock sentence: a free bet to be used in that game. They are not sports stakes. On most of them the row says free bet and names a game, and nothing more.

On that date 458 rows carry the Games prefix. The other six are one item, Wheel of fortune, filed once per brand and market. Its description talks about spins, so it is typed free spins. Same section, different label, because of one word.

Most of those items are carried word for word under all three brand names, which is the subject of the same promotion under three brand names. It is also why they have no page here. The site leaves out any item whose title and description are carried by more than one operator. The free bet page is what survives: three Pin-Up predictions rows, two Melbet rows for a game that no other operator's rows name, and a Melstroy accumulator programme. The free spins page, read the same day, lists 21 of the 27 free spins rows; the missing six are the wheel. Most of the other 119 free bet rows are sports, esports and betting items the same three brands share, and they go the same way.

So 571 tells you how many times a label was applied. It does not tell you how many offers exist. Any count of free bets deserves the same question: how many would be left once the repeats came out?

Promotion is what is left over

As of 18 October 2026, forty-four rows are typed promotion. Nobody decided that; for most of them no rule matched. Thirty-six are Pin-Up's: twelve offers, each filed once per market, most of them sports features such as the ones in is cash out a bonus. Melstroy's rules do have a line for loyalty programmes, and the line says promotion. This is the label to trust least, because it is the one that mostly means nothing else fit.

What the types usually mean, when the label is right

In our rows as of 18 October 2026, with the general sense of each in a line.

  • Deposit bonus. Typically credit added when you deposit, tied to the size of the deposit and capped by the operator. 87 rows, 60 of them Mostbet's. How a deposit match works and how the welcome packages split between casino and sports.
  • Reload. Typically the same mechanism on later deposits. No row in the feed carries this label. Mostbet's deposit-by-deposit rows are the nearest thing, and they are typed deposit bonus. What a reload is, and who runs one.
  • Free spins. Typically a set number of spins on a named slot, with conditions on what the spins win. 27 rows. How free spins work.
  • Cashback. Typically a share of losses over a period, returned on the operator's terms. 12 rows, nine of them Pin-Up's. What cashback is.
  • Free bet. A stake credit, usually for sports. On most of our rows it is credit for one named game.
  • No deposit. An offer that asks for no deposit. No row in the feed carries the label, and no title or description in the feed uses the words no deposit. What we found when we looked.

Five labels are in use across 741 rows (deposit bonus, free spins, cashback, free bet and promotion), and nothing outside those five.

Reading a label

Treat the type as a filter. The words in the title and description are mostly what the parser read, and they are also what you can read, so start there. Then the operator's own page, which is the only place the conditions are current. The promotion page and the cashback page show how the same filing works on rows that do get a page.

A label is not a verdict on you

A bonus type is a way of filing an offer. It says nothing about whether the offer suits you, and no type lowers the risk or makes gambling a way to earn. Casino games typically carry a house edge, so over time the expected result of playing is a loss. Decide how much you are willing to lose before you look at any offer, not after.

Terms vary by operator and change without notice, so T&Cs apply to every offer described here. This page is information, not advice. You must be 18 or over to gamble, 21 or over in Kazakhstan. If gambling stops being fun, stop, and see our responsible gambling page.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the main types of casino bonus?+

Typically a deposit bonus (a welcome offer on the first deposit, a reload on later ones), free spins, cashback, a free bet and an offer that needs no deposit. Some operators also run loyalty programmes and prize draws that fit none of these neatly. The names are loose, and the same offer can be filed under different ones on different sites. The conditions are in the operator's own terms. T&Cs apply.

Is a free bet the same as free spins?+

In general, no. A free bet is typically a stake credit you place on a bet or a game, and free spins are typically spins on a named slot. Both come with conditions the operator sets, and what happens to anything they win is one of those conditions. Read the operator's terms for the specific offer. T&Cs apply.

Why do so many of your rows say free bet?+

As of 18 October 2026, 571 of the 741 rows in our feed carry that type, and 452 of them are items from an operator's Games section, each naming one game. The same items sit under 1xBet, Melbet and BetWinner, so this site lists only the few that no other operator carries. T&Cs apply.

Can I rely on the type shown on a bonus listing?+

Use it as a filter, not as a finding. On our rows the type is assigned by a parser, mostly from the words in the title and description, so an offer can be filed under a type that describes only part of it. The operator's own terms are the only place the conditions are current. T&Cs apply.
